Arts & Crafts Silver and Enamel Necklace
Item Description
Silver and enamel Arts & Crafts necklace with ornate chainwork and a complex of little graduated length drops.
Set inside a silver frame decorated with a rope pattern border around most of its circumference, the largest of the three enamelled circles is divided by a horizontal silver bar with a small green glass cabochon in its centre.
This is suspended on a series of chains below two smaller enamelled circles, each set in an irregularly shaped silver frame, these hanging on three further short chains from a cluster of little silver balls which finally connect to the neckchain.
Almost certainly English and beautifully made but by a maker whose name we’ll never know since the necklace is unmarked or signed.
46 cm in length from each end of the chain.
