Arts & Crafts Silver and Butterfly Wing Necklace*
Item Description
Finely detailed Arts & Crafts silver necklace incorporating little leaves and tendrils on both component parts, cradling and partially surrounding vivid blue butterfly wings encased in silver mounts, each with a tiny beaded edge.
Semi openwork in style with real attention to detail – even extending to the back of both sections which display further elegantly hanging leaves.
As is so often the case, there is no maker’s mark but the quality of the craftsmanship is clear and we believe it to be by Bernard Instone.
The two-part pendant is around 6 cm in length and, opened out, the chain measures approximately 50 cm long.
