Arts & Crafts Opal, Amethyst and Chalcedony Pendant*
English Arts & Crafts silver pendant with an openwork design of three little flowers above a spray of leaves.
A pair of amethyst cabochons are set at the top with another, somewhat larger, in the drop below.
Set in the centre is a very well coloured opal, surrounded by a beaded silver border, and the other three stones appear to be a variety of chalcedony.
An elegant and well balanced design in typical Arts & Crafts style, dating from around 1910.
Just a little under 6.5 cm long including the bale and the drop, with the silver necklace chain measuring 49 cm.
