Silver plated Art Nouveau visiting card tray made by WMF circa 1900.
The elegant young lady, dressed in a long sweeping gown, is leaning forward standing over a lily pond, holding long, sinuous tendrils in both her hands. The pond with its lily pads and flowers stretches out before her.
This idyllic design is so typically Art Nouveau and very stylish.
Marked verso with the usual WMF marks for silver plating on Britannia metal and in good condition commensurate with its age.
