Art Nouveau Silver-Plated Butterfly Girl Pendant*
Item Description
Rare and very eye-catching silver-plated pendant featuring the smiling face of a girl – possibly a stylised depiction of Medusa.
She’s looking straight ahead from the centre of a butterfly shaped backdrop complete with sinuous flowers and stems detailed on the wings.
Totally Art Nouveau, and completed with a double suspension fashioned from what looks to be alabaster.
On an old silver necklace chain with an unusual and very effective T-ring fastener.
The length of the pendant, including its double drop, is a little over 13 cm. The chain, measured from its top fasteners, is around 60 cm long.
