Fine looking Art Nouveau silver photograph frame made by the Birmingham silversmiths J. Aitkin & Son and hallmarked for the year 1903.
With an ornately shaped outline and a stylised design of sinuous stems and dried seed cases of the flowering plant Honesty.
The wooden frame and easel behind the silver has been professionally re-covered with replacement green velvet, the old original covering having been beyond repair.
Overall height is 26 cm and width at the widest point is just under 21 cm. The window measures 13 X 9 cm.
