Art Nouveau Mermaid Lamp*
Item Description
Beautiful and so very Art Nouveau silver plated table lamp by Moritz Hacker of Vienna, circa early 1900’s.
Featuring a slender mermaid, her arms raised and reclining back into the gracefully arched shape of the lamp stem. This curves forward in fluid form and houses the extremely pretty shell shade.
As might be expected, some of the silver plating is a little worn in places and one leaf of the shell has been expertly restored at some stage in the past.
Marked beneath with the model number 120 and with impressed factory mark.
This lamp has been professionally checked and rewired with three-core silver coloured cable so is earthed. The height is approximately 31.5 cm.
A rare and very desirable lamp.
