Art Nouveau Gold, Opal and Ruby Brooch
Item Description
Good little Art Nouveau brooch in 9 ct. gold dating from circa 1900.
With elegant lines and a sweeping symmetrical outline, the brooch is set with a central upright oval opal immediately below a tiny faceted ruby.
Two smaller opals sit, one on each side of the ruby, nicely balancing the overall design.
No marks but the gold tests as 9 ct.
The width is 3.25 cm.
