Art Nouveau Gold, Diamond and Emerald Peacock Feathers Ring*
Superb Art Nouveau ring in 18 ct. gold, crafted as two peacock’s tail feathers, one set with a diamond forming the eye of the feather, the other with an emerald.
Lovely detail to the barbs of the feathers, with each little branch clearly defined and tiny openwork areas where the components of the feathers are depicted as having slightly separated.
There are no marks at all on the ring but it has been tested as 18 ct.
Probably French, dating from the very early 1900’s and appropriate for either sex.
The ring size is just a fraction over ‘P’.
