Art Nouveau Gold and Opal Pendant
Item Description
English Art Nouveau pendant crafted in 9 ct. gold with a fluid design that sweeps outwards and up from the base before curving sinuously inwards again at the shoulders and meeting at the top.
Set with a central upright oval opal and further detailed with three little seed pearls and an opal set drop at the foot, both opals showing good colour.
Marked for 9 ct. on the back but with no maker’s mark apparent although very well made.
Circa 1900 and measuring 4.5 cms in length including the bale, which is original, and the opal drop.
The necklace chain in 45 cms long.
