Striking 1930’s model bust, probably originally a hat mannequin in a fashionable shop of the day.
The cool young lady has wonderful eyes and the most amazing pout. Her short cropped hair style looks so right as does the very Art Deco plinth which supports her.
Made of gesso and stylishly painted, we love her just as she is so we’ve left her as we found her, but it may be that a touch more cleaning might not go amiss.
