Pendant from Dorrie Nossiter*
Item Description
English Arts & Crafts crescent shaped pendant necklace that, although unsigned, is clearly from the workshop of Dorrie Nossiter.
Crafted mainly in silver, with gold highlights and set with a curving row of amethysts. Above these, clusters of seed pearls in the form of bunches of grapes are separated by gold vine leaves. Finally, between each of the lower part of the amethyst stones is a little gold whorl.
The pendant is suspended from a pair of gold rings on two short lengths of chain, each set with an individual small pearl.
Circa 1930’s and just the merest fraction below 8 cms. long from the top gold ring, the width being approximately 5 cms.
The silver necklace chain has a toggle type fastener and measures 47 cms. in length.
