Hand-painted porcelain figure from Royal Dux of a semi nude female snake charmer.
Wearing an ornate headdress and a long scanty skirt, she's leaning forward towards a cobra writhing on the ground in front of her and mesmerising it with the music she's playing on a long gilded horn.
The girl's flesh has a realistic matt finish, contrasting very effectively with all the other details which are finely glazed.
This is a fine example of a sought after figure and is in a rare colourway - one we've not seen before.
Set on an oval base detailed with a gold line all round and marked beneath with the Royal Dux pink triangle.
A touch over 23 cm or 9 inches in height.
