Rare and lovely bronze sculpture of a lady holding in front of her a hand mirror whilst she carefully adjusts her hair.
She is nude apart from a long loose shawl draped over one shoulder, and is standing beside an amphora with one foot raised on a small platform.
Showing wonderful detail and patinated in a dark honey colour showing one or two minor marks due simply to age.
Dating from circa 1910, the sculpture is signed on the socle M. Valentin (Max Valentin, German 1875-1931) and raised on a columnar verde antico mable plinth which is further mounted to an octagonal marble base.
The overall height is approximately 39.5 cm.
