Splendid Arts & C rafts three branch silver table centrepiece or epergne made by the Sheffield silversmiths James Dixon & Sons with hallmarks for the year 1904.
With a large central bowl and three smaller side-bowls, all showing a lightly hammered finish, which sit securely in circular supports on the stand.
A somewhat Art Nouveau inspired flavour to the design, with sweeping lines curving upwards from the hammered circular base and further decorative detail around the eleganly tapered stem which also shows a hammered finish.
Each component is individually hallmarked and the overall condition is excellent.
The height is a touch over 25 cm and maximum width around 29 cm. The large bowl has a diameter of 19.5 cm, the smaller ones being a little over 9 cm wide.
