Art Nouveau 15 ct. gold necklace in the form of a long-tailed bird, possibly a nightingale, alighting on curved spray of stems, flowers and leaves.
Openwork in design and set with six little faceted garnets placed at intervals towards the edges and surrounding the bird.
A further pair of matching garnets are set as spacers a short way along the necklace chain, each accented with a little gold design detail.
No maker's mark but pure Art Nouveau and dating from the early 1900's.
The circular pendant, which has been tested as 15 ct gold, is 4 cm in length and the necklace chain measures approximately 40 cm.
